ontario canada ehh!
I am looking to pick up a nice fixed blade knife That is near unbreakable capable of doing most anything I can think of from cutting saplings to make shelter in the bush, to being used at work for cutting rope opening boxes ect. To self defence if it ever came down to my life or somebody else's I'd much rather take my chances in court then lay 6 feet under. Anyways I have seen mention to scrap yard knife co. And from what I can tell from reviews their website and youtube videos these are the real deal. They are solid, built to last and can take a beating.
I am just wondering if anybody here as any experiance with one of their knives? I am looking at the dumpster mutt and the yard keeper. dumpster mutt has a 5 inch blade 9 1/2" overall and is 5/16 inch thick. While the yard keeper has a 4 1/2" blade is 9" overall and is 3/16" thick. I am not sure which one will suit my need's better I'll be carrying this knife 90% of the time either at work or while out hiking camping fishing ect. I'm glad to work at a place that could care less about having a 5 inch fixed blade knife on my belt in the middle of town at that  I only wish I could carry all the time but I'm not sure the hassle would be worth it. anyways any suggestions? I'm also looking to pick up a spydie delica 4 for a true edc knife when It just won't work carrying a fixed blade around. Thanks should make a great combo these two.

I don't have any experience with these knives but the specs seem impressive. I'm really liking that Dumpster Mutt! Can't wait to hear some impressions on these knives, the price is right for sure!

I have one of their Street Scrapper 4's, made out of Busse's INFI steel.
That thing can take an absolute beating. I have used it, came real close to abused it, made rough woods shelters, gardened, tended to a fire, and prepped camp food with it. I carry a keychain ceramic medium-fine in the woods, and it is more than sufficient to get a decent working edge back on that fantastic steel. At home, i can get it shaving sharp if I want. Edge holding is very good, perhaps not amazing, but very, very good. Don't know if they still make anything with infi, but if that knife is my "middle of the road" fixed blade, when the little gamewarden isn't enough, and one of the bigger Busse's is jsut a touch overboard.

None of the knives you are referring to are available for order. You will have to find one second hand.

No its not out of date. That website just shows some of the knives that they have sold in the past. the bussekin companies( busse, swamprat, scrapyard) have a unique way of selling their knives. They release 1 blade at a time and take orders for it for a period of a month or so. Then they ship them out as they are produced. So if you miss out on one of their offerings it might be years before that blade is available again. I just bought a son of dogfather for a little extra on the forums here. You might be able to find someone selling what you are looking for but be prepared to pay more than the retail price for it. In my oppinion they seem to be well worth it.
