Hi,

I'm interested in getting a green pointer which can be used underwater. Does anyone have one and is it any good?

I'm guessing most of them are a leadlight pointer inside a housing? Does anyone sell just the housing or do u have to buy the pointer and housing together?

Thanks

John

Ive actually seen a green laser pointer made especially for scuba diving, it had a water proof brass housing, the only thing was it was hefty in price. And I would not recommend trying to waterproof your leadlight, way too risky especially as you gain pressure as you dive deeper.

EDIT: Here I found the link Scubagreenie its upwards of $400 so maybe ruining a few leadlights in waterproofing research ain't too bad! hehe.

I've seen this one http://www.betapointer.com/diver.htm
Which is $190 so a more sensible price. It looks the same sort of design as the one you linked to. I was just wondering if they're effectively a pointer inside an aluminium housing or if they're constructed from a descrete laser module, switch batteries etc.
