Hey everyone!
So, last night i decided to take my sd301 and "play" with it. While i was focusing, suddenly it stopped working. Now all i see is just a little beam INside the head of the laser. It was supposed to burn when i got it, but i guess i didnt know how to focus. Here are some pictures of it.
I had for 1 year or 2. I havent used it much
Wavelength 532nm
Max Output<100mW

First things first, no more looking into teh laser to look at the "little beam" coming out of it. The "dim" red light is actually very powerful IR. It is just out of the range of human vision, so we can't see it too easily, BUT that doesn't mean that the power isn't there. Just like if you were to stare into an extremely bright IR laser, you wouldn't see it at all, but you'd notice a searing hole burning through your head. Granted, it's not enough power to do that, but it is easily enough power to do some damage to your retina.

As far as troubleshooting your laser, first thing to try would be to recharge the battery, but chances are, this is not fixable. You may be able to find a suitable new green module that fits the same dimensions of the old one, but that's as close as you'll get to fixing it.
