A sudden birthday snuck up on me, and I was hard pressed to find something worthwhile for a present. After the "garden variety" got decapitated I had enough left of it to make a new light. Here are the pics, enjoy :-)

123, steel tube with NX05 taped to it, BB400 with Q4H LD molded into a tent pole and then a cigar tube end, and to the right a kroll in a cigar tube cap, with a brass button.

Thanks Wayne Y for all the parts.

Congratulations on your innovative work. Your pictures make me want to go out to the garage and scrounge around for parts to make some kind of light. A lot of fun!

ingenious recycling there, AilSnail--

I have the Pocket Penny light project my back burner--this may serve as incentive to get it going!

Ah, she looked happy when she got it, and played with it during the party. A common phrase: "Is that a LED? But it's so bright!"

Very nice work! I love the ingenuity here. Can you say "Poor man's LS?"
