Hey guys :grin2:
I'm new here so I apologize for any errors I make, just let me know if I do something wrong and I'll fix it.
About a year ago I bought a Silva X-Trail Plus headlamp for the rather large sum of AU$220.

Its performance has been excellent, but recently I found that the plug between the external battery pack and the headlamp itself (it's the special trademarked Silva connector type) wouldn't go in all the way and upon closer inspection found that the inside of the female end had somehow been damaged.:hairpull:
Not willing to spend money on a whole new headlamp, my proposed solutions are:
-Get a new battery pack (since that's what has the damaged socket)
-Get a new connector and "cut & splice" it to the battery pack cable
-Give up on life
I haven't been able to find anywhere that sells the connector nor battery packs, even though I would have thought they'd be sold as an accessory.
So I'm throwing it out there to the lighting community; Would someone be kind enough to enlighten me as to where I could purchase either of the above items, assuming such a place exists.
Alternatively if there's a solution that I haven't thought of than I would love to hear it.
Cheers
