Help Support Candle Power:

i was debating between a sunnto vector and a casio triple sensor.

i picked the casio cause:
- it's a casio /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif (good track record for me)
- it available in black/purple titanium at a lower price
- tough solar

I purchased the latest wiz bang, titanium solar Casio, on a whim at Costco a couple of weeks ago. Having had a Suunto Vector (lost it…), the Casio pales by comparison when it comes to adjusting elevation or barometric pressure. The Casio requires you to run through the entire range to make a simple -5 feet or -0.05 inch change, while the Suunto has the ability to adjust both ways. If I had known this, I would have held out for a Suunto, which incidentally, mountaingear.com just put the entire line on sale at blowout prices.

I ve seen the Suunto watches in a local store, I like the marine model, I know the brand because of the compasses that I use to have in my first day-sailing dinghies, top quality but those watches are huge for the wrist, the case is like two inches width... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

you guys got different ideas of 'blow out' than me -- that's still a lot of scratch for a watch!
