I just picked one of these up second hand, and was wondering if someone could provide me with a copy/scan of the Owner's Manual-Instruction Booklet..

Thanks...

Gordon

BTW. Mods-- was unsure of post location.. Move if necessary.

Hey Skillet, nice watch, I have been eyeing one of these for ages now, let us know how you like it after a couple of days, too big, just right, too orange, wicked tritum etc etc, I would be interested, i have read lots of reviews but not caught up with someone who actually has got one before!

I own a Black Monster. I LOVE the watch. It's durable, heavy, works great, and I've beaten it up since it's been available (which is quite a long while).

To use - it's simple.

1) The watch cannot be wound manually. It's all wrist based. So - you better wear it. Shake it from side to side to jump start it.

2) Unscrew the stem. Pull it out one click. That sets the time. Please don't reverse wind it to set - go forward only.

3) Pulling the stem out two clicks sets the date and day. Seiko's have two languages on the day (mine's German and English). Turn the stem one way does the numeric date, turning it the other way does the written day.

Luminosity is wicked. A quick flash from even a low powered flashlight renders it to glow for a good 8 hours in darkness.

Again - I've had mine for years. Still works great.

With regards to the durability of the 7S26 movement - I bought a SKX001 (the blue/red Pepsi bezel) 20 years ago for my brother. It finally died two months ago. He wore it 24x7 for all those years. Zero servicing on it too.

Thanks for this. I got given a watch from a friend who was R&D director of an HK firm that made watches. Battery died and it got put in a cupboard. Remembered he said that they only used Seiko mechanisms. Got a new battery into it and realised I'd forgotten how to set it. Turned out they didn't only use Seiko mechanisms - this one was a Miyoto but it wouldn't have occurred to me to go looking if you hadn't put this link up. Thanks.
