I have read that the older nicad rechargables lost about 1% per day in self discharge. I assume Lithium rechargables have a much lower self discharge rate. I have read posts that the protected cells have a higher self discharge rate because of the protection circuit.
I like the IMR series for high drain rates. Any idea what rate of self discharge these have 1% weekly - 1% monthly - etc. If I use these in an emergency use light how often would I need to recharge them to keep them at peak voltage?

Hello Bob96,

The reported self discharge rate for Li-Ion cells is about 1% per month. In actual use, it seems to be less than half of that.
