Hey! how do you know where my house is Turbo ! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif ut ohhhh I have another stalker !

heh, I bet I know a guy thats going to that actually,
Hes my best freinds, dads, best freind, hes a bike nut, I doubt he has drove in years lol

I know your pain,
I my self am 29 years old and have not had a date/ girl friend going on 10 years now. I also don't have mutch of a life but thats not the biggest reason, To start I have bladder controll problems for a number of years now and need 24/7 protection, I am scared to death about dating some one and not knowing what kind of reaction that person would have. physiacly the problem is easy to deal with but emotinal roller coaster ride is another thing all togeather. out of all the disabiltys and problems people have I don't understand the reaction people have when they find out about mine, the only real differance is my underwear tape on. anyway , after all the crap life has thrown Me todate I still find it vitaly important to stay active with hobbies, comunity volintering..(insert other misc hobby here).
I pulled my self out of my bad feelings by sadly buying distructive toys(fire and highvoltage toys are fun too). I bought a used JetSki as it got Me out of my home and then got a quad. I also goto antuqe shops and belong to the Michigan Antuqe Radio Club. Not going to realy meet any females there but it's fun and I find shinny things for my collections.
Have you thought about getting a pet ? a dog or a cat can help fill that "void". dogs also have a plus, when you take them to a park or out to just walk them they can make great "ice breakers" somthing to generate small talk..ect.
anyway I hope my 2 pennys where helpfull, other wise I would like them back /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You single guys.... use this time well. After marriage and kids it is a lot harder.

The time will come when you'll look back longingly on the days when you could go anywhere, do anything, buy anything without getting permission or negotiating a compromise with your significant other. But that's human nature, the grass is always greener...

I'll echo what the others have said: get off the couch and go out and do something, anything. Some of my most memorable experiences I only did by forcing myself out of my familiar routine.

You have to approach this logically. If you want to meet people you've got to go where they are because they're not going to come looking for you if you stay at home. The suggestion already made about doing volunteer work is right on the money. You'll meet a lot of good people of a far better quality than those you'll meet in a bar. You'll also find that they tend to be open and friendly folks who'll make you feel welcome. And you'll enjoy the work, I guarantee it.

If you feel at all drawn to religion I'd suggest that you start attending services at a fairly small church. You'll find the people there very friendly and open too. That's where I met my wife.

The main thing is to get out, do things, and be open to others, even if you don't happen to feel like it at any given time. Make getting out a part of your routine. Shyness never did anyone any good.

good luckkto ya all i havesame problem.i cant even mae eye contactwithem lol ( darn this space bar)

i think we're going to have to start raggie a keyboard fund to to along with the LH fund. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Good advise all around here. Volunteering is the way to go. I met my soon to be wife when I volunteered. Cute girls like that kinda stuff. Then once you have one you can revert back to the misanthropic slob that I really am /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sign up for a dance class, women do and they need partners. If the ladies are to old don't worry, they probably have daughters that might show up the following week after mom tells them about the nice boy at dance class.

You could always try dressing as a women and posting your photo online with a few of your lights. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif just kidding, although I did use MIRC at one with with a photo of a hot women, womens screen name and watched the messages fly in. I then posed as a fat bald blind guy in a wheelchair. Most thought i was funny, till they discovered it was TRUE.

I am 27, legally blind, in a chair and feel the same way. I finished high school a year late cause of health problems. I entered into rehab for a year. I walked in and rolled out. My physical aspect went right down hill. I worked a job on the dorm, but was kicked out after a year for lack of progress. I then lived with my folks for 17 months. ENjoyed it till the seasons started to repeat. Spent a year in another rehab center. I then applied for several colleges, paratransit service and been in college since. summer of 99 till present. Man, 5 years to get an associate degree and that is going full time. Boy do I feel effing stupid. Then I remind myself I am disabled. At least I got 2 associates as I had to take a lot of courses and remedials cause i did not get the stuff in high school becaus eof my vision and they did not want to accomdiate me and gave me credit for extra helpings of shop and a phoney made up braille class. So, finally made it to a university and working as a dumb *** telemarkerter. The pay is great, plus its kind of fun to call folks and watch their reaction over the phone.

I am not really a people person, so being single has never bothered me. Ive met many guys who were married and they tell me not to do anything stupid like that and that women use sex as a weapon. I like a certain part of my body and glad it has been healthy. Secondly, glad I do not have any mouths to support either.

Cobb, I do agreee with you on a point: Unfortunately, some women DO use sex as a weapon. It can certainly be disheartning.

At 56 and still single and haven't been (ahem) for goin' on 25 years, have to say go for it! I had a couple failed relationships (my fault) and regret having socially withdrawn. I suspect I have truely missed a lot. Learn to live with yourself- there are many similarly situated! Ya just have to find the right one, and they aint out bar-hopping either!

(Easier said than done!)
