SF A2 Clip

The long clip

The top pics are of the older 'four flats' style.
Some of which had short clips, some had long.

Nowadays they are round bodies with long clips!

Thanks for the reply & pics. Are the older 'four flats' models the ones with "Digital Plus Series" printed on them?

Yep

Thanks DR, you own this place!:eek:oo:
I think I saw an A2 in my local fishing/gun store, that's why all the commotion. I kinda want to get one, but not sure about the incan etc. One more question, is there a known serial # that all A2's after that serial are the newer round models?

No worries!

Not sure about the serial number thing.
However they only make the round bodies these days so the four flats are 'rarer'.

The A2 is one awesome light!
The incan is nice, and the leds are great for late night tasks!

A real must have light imo.

:twothumbs

i am a newly converted A2 lover.
if you are thinking of buying one - just do it, there was someone on the marketplace selling new ones for about 110usd
i got an old, early short clip model, for about 70usd, plus shipping to OZ about 3 weeks ago, it just arrived last week.

now i am thinking of buying a newer long clip round body version

Do all A2's produce 50/3 lumens for 60 mins/20 hrs regardless whether they are the older style four sided or the newer round bodied ?

Does the type of package (blister pack or box) identify which style of light it is? (Whether 4 sided or round bodied)? My local gun store had the A2 in a blister pack and goes for $175.

Majority of the current Surefires come in the blister packs.

Other than the LX2/A2L, M-series etc. etc.
Which have boxes, many of which were recently redesigned.

So yes, packaging can be used to identify the model, to a point.
