1 - I will be getting this modded KL1 will it still be able to accept 9volts like the original? The seller is unsure.

2 - Does anyone still make 1 cell extenders for the E-series I did a search but only found very old topics from 2002. :duh2:

3 - Does anywhere still sell the 2 stage tail caps for E-series.

4 - How reliable is the lumens factory stuff? I'm interested in this.

Thanks. :)

OK, lets do this 1 point at a time...

1 - If it's still using the stock KL1 circuit, it'll take 9 volts just fine.

2 - Nobody makes 1 cell extenders for the E series since Dspeck. You may occasionally see one on the BST forums of CPF.

Alternatively, you can get a 3rd party 3 cell body such as the one made by Vital Gear:

http://www.vital-gear.com/flashlight_bodies_fb3.htm

An alternative would be the Leef body from Lighthound:

http://www.lighthound.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2705

With that last one, you would need to use 2 Li Ions, or 3 x CR123 with a spacer. Using 4 CR123 cells will likely blow the circuit.

3 - 2 stage tailcaps are avalable as a self assembly modification, parts available from here: http://theledguy.chainreactionweb.com/product_info.php?cPath=48_56_58&products_id=962

dat2zip's normally a pretty busy guy, so any questions would get answered quicker on his Sandwich Shoppe forun rather than email.

4 - Havent tried their E series bulbs, but i currently have 4 of their 9 volt P90 equivalents and couldnt be more happy. Output is a bit less that the genuine Surefire bulbs, but the light is decently whiter. Cant say anything about longevity, havent used them enough yet.

Enjoy your Surefire Lego!

Can only really answer 1 of the questions but kakster did the rest above, i've got an E0-E2R bulb on my E2D, im running it off 2 AW RCR123 3.7V batteries and its great, gives out plenty of light, definitely alot more than the stock bulb. As for reliability, ive had it for a few months now and its still working fine no problems at all!
