SF KX2 reflector size

hey ... anyone out there that's ripper apart their KX2 heads... what's the dimensions of that reflector? any good suggestions on a replacement reflector to put in a P7??? also... might go the aspherical route... would this one fit? http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13702 or has anyone tried this??? thanks, KraZy

I'm not sure Krazy. I was going to use a McGizmo McR19 XRE, but those are around $17.

It's a little long, and a little narrow, but focuses well with the cree.

I think a 20 mm reflector should fit, but I;m not sure they are long enough. That and you have to sort out focus for whatever you are trying to drive.

For cheaper ones, you could try an IMS20 or Khatod 20. Both around $4-5.

I don't have any around myself...

hey gunga... thx for the info... i wonder if there's anyone out there that has the actual dimensions of the KX2 reflector??? i know yours is a KL1... and i think they use different size reflectors... KraZy

There is an optic in the KX1/KX2/L1 head.
I think, it is the same type.

Thanks for those measurements.... but... i think that's the optic in the KL1 head... which i think is on the L1...

i don't know if the current generation of the L1 has the KX1 (cree) head on them or not...

do you have the L1 head there? can you look on it.. i think it should say what model the head is...

The pics above show the optic in the L1 (Cree) (KX1, KX2, Backup) head.
The optic in KL1 head is different:

KL1 optic left --- L1 optic (KX1,KX2...) right

KL1 (new) - KX1 - KX2 - L1 (Cree) - Backup (from left)
