I have updated the list in the first post to show receipt of payment from two more people.

Please note that if you need prices and payment instrucitons, please refer to the The signup thread. Feel free to send me a check or paypal payment anytime you want, although you do not need to do this until I contact you to tell you that your order will be ready shortly.

LVR3I's will be made up in two weeks, according to Willie, so I should have them shortly after that. All other supplies except for the things coming from newark electronics and mpja are in possession, and I am currently working on prepping batteries for end-to-end soldering.

Please feel free to post questions or concerns here, or send me an email or PM.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah. I understand that. For a while they kept delaying my orders for no reason. But now I think I'm beyond that, and everything has gone smoothly for the last two orders. I may take your advice and switch over. But you know what they say about changing horses in mid-stream. I know what the little old numbers from newark actually really translate into in terms of physical parts on my workbench. For this large M6-R order that is significant. But I'm probably just being overly cautious. I'm a conservative (with a small "c") guy by nature, and it's saved me on more than one occassion.

Jim, my post was a wise crack, tainted by many years' experience. Wasn't remotely aimed at you! Most of 'em say "in stock" and it is. Newark has hung me out to dry a few too many times. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rant.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

OK. Look, guys, if you send me a check with no CPF name, I have no certain way of linking the payment to the order list above. I have received two checks this past week with no CPF name. If you sent one of those checks, please PM me with your real name. Or if you wish, I can just post your real name here and you can reply and say "That's me!".

Willie Hunt has ordered the parts to make the LVR's, and will begin building them at the end of this week and continue on through the next week, at which point they will get mailed to me (I assume). So this is great news.

Plus, I anticipate having all of the rest of the supplies by that time as well, so one month from about two weeks from now, I expect to have delivered all of the M6-R orders. That's my estimate, but of course, I can't guarantee it.

This past weekend, I prepped 200 batteries for end-to-end soldering, which leaves another 350 to go. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif That's not as bad as it sounds, actually. Point is, I'm cruising right along, and will be starting to glue the stacks together into packs on or before the weekend.

Jim,

Thanks for keeping us up to date with your progress. Since I might be one of those who failed to put his CPF handle on the check, I've sent you a PM.

Thanks for PM'ing me, all who sent checks. I have accounted for all checks in my possession at the moment. I will be depositing them shortly. I have updated the first post order list to show the current accounting of who has paid and who has not. Those in bold still have not paid, which, I should mention, is not a problem. Feel free to wait to pay me until I contact you.

Thanks everyone.

J_Oei,

This is not what you signed up for in the signup thread, nor did you amend your initial order later either there or here. I have you down for only an M6-R pack.

However, it isn't a problem for me to add a charging cable and MN16, if that's what you really want. For now, I will change your order in the first post above and mark you as paid. If you decide you actually only need the M6-R pack, let me know and I will refund the appropriate protion of your PP payment.

Jim, I cant find what the total of what I owe you is?! That AAC?...am I right in presuming it goes from cigarette lighter socket to Triton THEN to M6-R?! If so, would I be able to charge anything of the Triton in the car? ie the USL? If this is a thick question I apologise. If its been answered before I also apoligise.

I'll take the amended order (money already sent.)

If it is a problem, I'll go back to what I committed to.

The M6-R signup thread, where you placed your orders, contains the prices. I didn't pull them over here because of the charging system ($78) actually being 1 HT 1 TF 1 CC, but I suppose it would have been trivial to assign individual amounts to everything but I honestly can't remember exactly how I figured out the $78 total, plus it includes $3 for the power cord. Wait. It might be coming back to me. HT $31 TF $35 CC $12. That might be right. So, subtract $3 if you don't need the power cord. AAC $12 MN16 $32,

naromtap. Yes, the AAC allows you to power your Triton (from bwaites' USL buy) or Hitec (from me) from the cigarette lighter socket in your auto. So anything you can charge with your Triton and AC to DC power supply, you can charge with your Triton powered from your car. However keep in mind that many cars will get upset if you try to draw 10 amps from the socket. In fact, I think some even have a 5 amp fuse in line with it.

This will not pose a problem with the M6-R and USL packs, but it could pose a problem with high cell count and high charge rate charging. In other words, if you try to charge a 24 cell pack at 3 amps, you will likely start to draw too much current for most auto cigarette lighter sockets. For the record, I have designed my AAC to handle 13 amps--although I haven't (and won't) actually test it at this draw--but I just don't recommend drawing that much current through the socket. Or through your car battery, for that matter. RC people who need to do this have a dedicated field battery, which will handle deeper discharge cycling than a car battery will.

Let me know if you have more questions.

cdf,

The signup thread closed some time ago and that is what I used to determine what supplies to order, so I am not accepting any more orders. I appreciate your interest but I can't fill your order. Sorry.

J_Oei,

I just realized this past weekend that you didn't include the $10 S&H fee in your PayPal payment. Could you make sure to pay me the extra $10 before I ship your order? Thanks.

Everyone else,

The power supplies for the Hitec CG-340's should be shipping out today, and the LVR's should be shipping out this week sometime. However, I still have no word from bwaites on the CG-340's themselves.

A recent flare-up of my back has slowed me down somewhat, but I am still far enough along to be in the middle of assembling the end-to-end soldered stacks into full fledged battery packs. It is, I have to say, the largest, most time consuming task I have yet undertaken. Having to remove the shrink wrap and cut new kapton insulators, plus wrap the soldered stacks in kapton tape, is way more time consuming than I had bargained for. Thankfully, however, I still believe that my estimate of "one month after I have received all supplies" may still be on target.

I have yet to update the order list above to reflect the recent payments I have received, but I will do so tonight.

Thanks everyone.

The CG-340's should be on their way this week, after 2 weeks of telephone tag.

As soon as I have confirmation of shipment, I will let Jim know.

Jim and ..heu Bill, sorry if I am a little OT, but you didn't speak about the "special" power supply for those who ordered Triton charger with their USL /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I am asking, because for what I understand, the M6-R pack will be release soon.....but if I receive mine...I haven't nor power supply unit nor charger /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
The last words was that the Triton and Power supply will be sent by Bill with the USL and the M6-R will be send by Jim....but maybe Bill could sent the Triton and the power separately from the USL for those, like me, who want to use it with their M6-R pack ? Just a thought /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Thanks

Tritons aren't yet ordered, because I have no cells yet and I don't want more boxes sitting in my house! I have about 60 power supply boxes, 2 boxes of reflectors, 4 boxes of bulbs, a box of switches, another of sockets, another of windows (lenses) for the USL, and I'm about to have boxes of bodies and switch guards, as well as the CG-340s.

For some reason, my wife insists that we be able to walk in the house, so I try to order stuff "just in time" if I can. Jim has to have the CG-340's for his M6-R clients, and we had to order jointly to get the best price, so they have been ordered first. We might be able to work something out, though Frenchy!
