Short review of Nuwai\'s AN606 AKA Xenergy 3 in 1
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gifAfter having this light for 3 days it's already one of my favorites. It comes with a charger, holster, lanyard spare bulb and bulb puller in a slick looking retail pack. Great light but it's almost the size of a 2C M*g, just a little smaller. Now the good stuff: with 3 LED's on its brighter than my ARC AAA, with all 6 LED's slightly brighter than my ARC LS, with the xenon, though its advertized at 93 lumens its only a little brighter than my Scorpion with a similar beam, as bright, white as my E2E but adjustable. At a wide flood you get artifacts from the LED slots but they're not too bad but it won't focus nearly as tight as the Scorpion can. At it's tightest focus it throws about like my E2E. This lights switch is a push button below the head that cycles through the different modes smoothly but the light goes out when its depressed.
Runtimes appear close to advertized i.e. ad.50 xenon, I got 43 on the very first charge, on the second charge I tried 6 LEDs and got 18hrs. compaired to the 20 ad.. Overall it seem well constructed, no bures on alum. edges etc. plus the inst. book says you can any 4.5 volt bipin lamp.
Please see Quickbeam's much better rewiew of the 123a version of this light at thelightsite.cruxial.com
P.S. Sorry for the very short review but I got this Tues. the 18, worked Wed. and had surgery Thurs. . You should've seen the look on the nurse's faces when I got to my room and started playing with my flashlights /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif they thought it was the drugs til Fri. morn. when I woke up and the first thing I did was turn off the lights and check the LEDs for runtime, yep still going.
Edit: Sorry Quickbeam /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif for not checking before referencing your site, hope its ok. After all your review is MUCH better.
