The site says "2 AAA" cells. Three volts seems an odd choice to drive an LED. Maybe it has a voltage booster or maybe the LED is amber (lower voltage). The plastic head looks like it would not support the heat of more than a 1w Luxeon.
If you take the plunge, by all means let us know what it can do!

UK makes an LED version of their side-by-side 2AAA light. It's pretty nice. Uses a single 5mm white LED and boost circuit. BrightGuy has 'em. They are small and rugged (dive rated waterproof) and use a lens system to focus the light into a "moon" type beam.

I have both the incan and LED version of this light. The incan is very bright for something this size (bright, but not smooth spot with lots of spill), and battery life is decent. The LED version runs a long, long time on a set of batteries and has a smoother beam, but it's all spot and practically no spill.
