Hey Guys,

Went to go use my La Crosse BC-900 charger to charge up some AAA's and when I put the batteries in, it started charging like normal... then the LCD screen went all alien letters on me... then it would come back up flicker etc... can't get anything to charge... :shakehead

I have had the charger for about 4 years and have always used a huge fan while it runs to keep it cool... I had the version before the software update...

So... I'm sadly back to needing a NiMH charger... Any recommendations on a cheap RELIABLE charger? I really liked how the La Crosse would discharge and then charge to prevent memory & I could read its display to see how much each batter was charged at the end of charging...

Thanks!

You could try another favorite - Maha MH-C9000 for AA/AAA NiMH chemistry...

I have and still on occasion use my BC-900 charger when I need that kind of control and information, but most of the time I just use my Maha C401FS. It's not cheap, but I like being able to just plop the battery(s) in and walk away. Then, it only takes an occasional glance looking for the green light and you know they're done. No fuss, no muss, it just works.
