Silver Anodizing Question

What is silver anodizing?

I'm about to order a light that comes in Black HA 3 or Silver anodizing and wanted to know what the silver actually was. A quick Google seems to sometimes call it clear anodozing.

The old "silver" SureFires were actually clear anodized.

The shiny bare aluminum shows through yet doesn't tarnish or oxidize the way bare aluminum would.
Not sure if there really is a silver anodizing.
Either way the HA-III will be more scratch resistant.
