Does the bezel on front of the LS unscrew so you can explore the inside? It didn't come off with light finger pressure (like the front of a Maglite would). I am hesitant to turn hard in case it is glued on.---Marc

Sorry, MicroE. The ArcLS head is a sealed unit. I actually have one unit whose bezel screws off, but even then, the LED, pcb and optics are are attached to that most frontal portion, leaving only the large collar behind. So, there's really not much to see even if you managed to get your (glued) bezel off.

That bezel is screwed on, obviously - It is just Locktighted (my verb) on there to keep prying eyes and fingers at bay

You can go ahead and try turning hard if it makes you feel good - You won't hurt anything - and I don't think you'll achieve anything.

I'm wondering why you're trying to get in there ? Are you just like me where you want to take EVERYTHING apart that you own?

Yes, I have a NEED to find out what makes everything "tick". Up to a point, of course. I think that point is prior to destroying a fine $150 flashlight.---Marc

Hey MicroE,

You're a typical engineer (yeah, I'm one of those too

.) Everything in my house has been disassembled, except the LS1, for now. I HAVE to look under the hood!!! Don't know if the cost of the flashlight is gonna save this puppy, if I don't take it apart now, eventually I will. Maybe you can save me the trouble
