I have been kicking this idea around for a bit.
yesterday, I put it together.
It pretty much lights up everything everywhere.:)
not too throwy though, maybe 50 feet of light.
I haven't really taken any measurements yet, nor have I had it out in a really dark area yet.

I've been running it DD on 1 18650.
It pulls about 3.3A from a fresh cell.

It seems to handle the heat well.
It does need some airflow to keep cool.
I ran it outside (30* F) for 30 minutes and it barely got warm while walking.

The light is 1.5" tall right now.
That was the smallest I could get things with the 28.8mm lens I had on hand.
I would like to try a 1.25" tall version with a bezel that matches.

Also, the new P7 reflectors look pretty cool. I want to get some 23mm to try out soon.

Looks very nice.

I'm looking at putting a P7 Malkoff in one of your headlamps when I'm able to get them from you:thumbsup:

Wow, that looks pretty wild. I'll be glad to see the progression of this one.
