A very simple comparison of the coverage of four reflectors.
I did these beamshots because I recently damaged a reflector, so I decided to cut it down and see how it performed.
The reflector was from a DX Cree drop-in for 6P's. The front has been cut back and the max' diameter is now 0.92". It still has
a very useful beam and is quite compact, so it is now installed in a custom head on my EDC.
The beamshots compare this modded reflector with a standard Cree drop-in, an McR20, and an McR19.
As different light engines were used these shots only compare the coverage - at 1metre - and they have been changed to b&w
to show the beam pattern more effectively. The camera settings were the same for each shot.
All reflectors with XR-E's except the McR20 which has a Seoul P4. Not very scientific I know.
Colin.
