Single C-cell...has it been done?

Tonight I came across something that called for a single C cell battery (alarm clock) and had none available at all. This got me to thinking that I have not noticed many modded C cell lights. I searched the forums and came up empty however I am curious has anyone tried to cut down a C cell Mag to use only one cell?.....or for that matter any light using C cells?

I remember reading where some modders have cut down the D cell lights to use only a single cell and I always thought that was the neatest thing I had seen in some time. I can never remember seeing a single C cell light so has it been done?

Mirageman cut one down for me, it runs great with a P7 on DD, simple and subtle but what a screamer.

They're cut down for 1 C Li-ion though so they're just a tad longer than my true Mag1C size that uses an adapter for a 123.

I prefer the C size Mag ove the D size & I absolutely love the Mag1C size.

Electrolumens made a 1C ohio 80 lumens ran for 12 hr,IIRC.I always wanted to check that one out.It was about the size of a C cell

Holy smoke I barely remember that C-cell to Arc adaption however it was one of the neatest things I had seen in some time.....killer runtime I can only assume.

DarkZero that link shows one of the cleanest mods and is exactly what I was looking for. I like the form factor of the single C mods however am still suprised to see it is not as popular as I thought it would be.

Here is my 1 "C" Mag made by the late RcatR, It uses the Magclickie and has a R2 WC Cree driven by a Flupic board and a Surplusshed Aspheric lens, throws incredible! It also came with a 3 C extension to run with Nimh or regular Alkalines.
