I have a couple of lights now that use a single AA cell and have been using 1.2v nimh batts. I am looking for someone who makes a single cell AA charger similar to the Nano charger for rcr123 or 3.7v lithium aaa. Does such a beast exist? I cannot find one. I am thinking of making a crude one out of a 1.2v 150ma wallwart charger for a cordless trimmer and using a single aa battery holder from Radio Shack. But, this seems dumb and impractical,as I am wanting something travel-sized such as the Nano. Anybody have any ideas?

You probably already know this but I've seen some really small two AA cell chargers at Wallyworld.

eneloop quick charger, about 2.75 x 2.75 x 1 inches including the plug, world wide voltage, charges 1 or 2 AA (and AAA).

I bet I could find the Eneloop charger at Fry's. It will charge one at a time?

yes. Circuit City and Ritz Camera (or affiliates) also carry it.

Yeah, I've seen these tiny ONE or TWO cell chargers at Wall*Mart. They're made by Digital Concepts, and cost around $4.97. They are a very slow, timer-based charger. I think they charge at 160mAh for about 16 hours.

Get one that has independent charging channels. I have one made by Sony that I like so far although I'm not a fan of Sony products in general anymore.

me neither. They used to make top quality stuff back in the 80 and early 90s, but in the post decade they have been riding on their glory, releasing sub-par products, and those that are still of high quality are overpriced.

In the past 10 years or so I have never seen a SONY radio with decent FM tuner. And this is just an example. I think they made too much profit with electronics and now they're everywhere, right up there with Microsoft and soon Google.

Yes! I have seen these usbcell AA's.Very interesting and a neat concept.

I just dont understand why the market demand isnt there for a single cell AA charger with the popularity of 1 AA and AAA flashlights out there. I never really thought about this whole thing until I bought my Nano charger. I think the Nano is just absolutely great for what it's intended for.

Find a Panasonic Bq-390 charger. It will charge 1,2,3 or 4. It is the size of a deck of playing cards and charges one cell in an hour or so, two in 2 hours roughly. It works
on any voltage too. does AA or AAA.

I have one of the Digital Concepts chargers that lumenal mentioned. It will charge a single or double AA or AAA slowly. Seems to work okay.
