My recent preferences of CR123A lights is fairly low current (like 300~500mA) and nice T flux Luxeon III.
Reasonable brightness and long runtimes, especially using NextGen BBs.
On the other hand, that PR X3T is a *nasty* light /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I am really looking foward to next generation Luxeons with higher flux and lower Vf, I wonder when they will become available /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

The PR X3T is not "nasty".. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif It is actually the one I reach for most because of the useful amount of light on low, with a 15ohm resistor, and the option to go to full power instantly.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
The R123 seems perfect for this application as it is able to sustain the current draw on the BB750 with the X-bin at full power, and yet be able to provide a few hours of light when just using the low beams. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Like you, I wonder when the new generation of luxeons will be released so we can have X bin brightness but with H vf voltage and efficiency.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif Actually, things seem to have become worse, since there have been no more X-bins available since this last batch, and even W-bin LuxV are impossible to find.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
