Enova kindly sent the Gyrfalcon S8000 Battery Charger and Analyzer for review earlier in the year.

There's a micro USB port that can be used to update the firmware. Enova has provided half a dozen updates while adding features and fixing things.

I tried to follow HKJ's setup for testing chargers:

I used two Zotek ZT-300AB (ANENG AN9002) digital multimeters with Bluetooth to measure the voltage and current:

Here is my full review:

This is what the setup looked like:

Here are the graphs that I produced using matplotlib:
Please note: There are some small gaps in the graphs where Bluetooth connectivity dropped (bluez in Linux). I redid the tests where there where Bluetooth connectivity dropped during important parts (e.g. charging was almost complete).

Do you have the SkyRC MC3000? Do you think that the Gyrfalcon S8000 would be a worthy alternative?

Thanks for making us aware of this new advanced charger (y)

The charger looks very interesting, and looks to be the first to really challenge the SKYrcr mc3000.

But I hate the fact it has capacitive touch buttons, which I unfortunately have very bad experiences with. Often it is necessary to press several times to get a response.
Like you I much prefer mechanical buttons.

But I will definitely take a closer look at it.
