I also have both the 4AA and L2P. I agree they are apples and oranges from a number or perspectives:
- size: the L2P is pocket size, 4AA really isnt
- throw: 4AA hands down, but it doenst have a lot of spill
- spill: I like the L2P as a good general light with great 30-40 ft spill
- runtime: I havent tested them and like others would like to see a comparison
The 4AA will go on my boat this summer, but the L2P will get more use (I like them both a lot though - but for different purposes). A a general around the hosue light the L2P is pretty good: small size, good spill and can light a room.
