SL Stinger - DD a 1W LS?

Hi all,

Just wondering if a Stinger could be modded to take a good low vF 1W high dome and a 30mm optic? Would thermal runaway(???) be an issue - is the LS going cook if left on too long?

I think the primary benefit here would be increased run time (at least 5 hours?) and no chance of a bulb breaking if it's dropped. Might make a good utility light if left in a smart charge in a handy location in the house or apartment...

Actually the Stinger has a good reflector, textured and all. Might be a good home for a high dome 1 watt.

i wouldnt dd though unless you star has a high vf.
1 ohm at least.
