I'm looking around to see if I can find a new knife to replace my current EDC and I wanted to see if anyone has some recommendations. The knife must have a blade 2 - 2.5 inches, and come in a combo blade. Other than that I really don't have any specific requirements. Any thoughts? Thanks

-Mike

I EDC a couple multitools and a Gerber ridge knife (its a black CKRT KISS sold by gerber)

I like to combo blade because I frequently need to cut things such as rope when I have handy is my EDC. I was looking to spend less than $50 to $75 or less so if the knife runs off it's not a huge loss. I don't really like the classic look, and have had both SOG and Spyderco in the past and really liked them. One other requirement is it has to have a thumb stud or the similar, I never had been a fan of the holes in the blade for opening. Thanks

The Kershaw Scallion is a pretty nice little knife, inexpensive, has assisted opening and is pretty small. I bought one in New Mexico at a Walmart for around $30 because I wanted something smaller to EDC while on vacation. Nice little knife.

The Benchmade Griptilian and Mini-Griptilians are very nice also. Lightweight, sturdy, good steel and very nonslip, I think they are a step above the Spyderco's.

There are alot of good ideas mentioned here already. Kershaw, Benchmade, and Spyderco all offer small EDC type knives. In the Spydie line I might suggest that you consider the new Native w/Spyder edge. I have a plain edge Native in S30V steel and think its a great buy for what you get. I am just not the biggest fan of FRN handles, but the blade is very nice. Look at newgraham.com for a nice buy.
For a very small EDC I like the Benchmite for business or church attire. The Native is my other "small" EDC type user. Beyond that I really prefer my type III Strider SNG or Spydie Military. The 3 to 4 inch blade is just better for me.

For the size and blade type you specify the Spyderco Dragonfly is the logical choice.

If you can live with a plain edge, and are willing to spend a little more the Spyderco Wegner "Mouse" is a great. 2" VG-10 Steel Blade. One hand opening. Pocket clip. I use mine as a money clip.

The Kershaw Scallion for walmart has a gray anodize finish.

My Pop has one, uses it as a money clip.

Nascar, the Benchmite is a blue anodize and held together with screws vs rivots. The fit and finish is nice on this knife. The only draw back is the small size. It works for you in terms of carrying it but the handle is small for when you are working with it. The blade is very nice and cuts like a bigger blade, but you have got to hang on to it.

Thanks. I looks very nice and I'm a Titanium junky. I just ordered one online from Knife Outlet. I'm hoping to replace my Spyderco LadyBug with this one as an EDC.

I have the small Beretta Airlight. That thing is tiny and light. With the skelotonized blade and zytel handles it weighs less than an ounce.

I just ordered a Spyderco Delica in plain edge.
