Im an acura factory trained technician, aka a mechanic and after ruining several rubber clicky switch covers on some nice flashlights I got a nitecore ec25w. Its metal cap fixed my problem. I have an ea1 that I love as well. Can anyone reccomend me a small single or 2x aa cell light, with rugged construction prefferably with no rubber clicky and not a twisty? I want it to have a mode thats 5 to 15 lumens that runs for a very long time. A .05 lm mode that runs for 2 weeks is of dubious value to me. I have a zebra light zc51 as a shtf light for emergency lighting. Just looking for some more edcable options with aa batteries. Thanks in advanced.

You might take a look at the Sunwayman V11R with AA Extender. Without the extender it takes CR123/16340 and with can use AA/14500 cells. It has a rear clicky and an infinitely variable magnetic control ring. Very simple interface - the clicky for on/off and the ring for brightness. The nice thing for you is it comes with two tail cap assemblies - one rubber and one titanium.
