Small single cell flashlight recommendation

I haven't been around in a while so I'm behind the power curve concerning flashlights. I am currently carrying a CMG AA Infinity and while it has served me very well I want something smaller for pocket carry and hopefully brighter as well. I'm not partial to either twisty or button operation.

Any suggestions?

Fenix EO1 AAA hardly bigger than the battery and very bright for the size.
Inexpensive but reliable too.

+1 for the fenix keychain line. The E01 is fantastic for 15 bucks and the LOD is great for 45 bucks too.

Streamlight Microstream. $15 and far brighter than the Infinity. Runtime isn't even close but it'll still do 2-1/2 hours (regulated) on a NiMH AAA and has a beautiful beam with lots of throw and smooth, bright spill. It is much thinner than an Infinity, has a superb clip and a forward tail click switch. The LOD is a nice light as well but for the $$ the MS is a great pocket light.

I have a CMG Infinity and a CMG Infinity Ultra. The ultra is brighter than the standard infinity. I still use both.

When I decided to go smaller and brighter I got the Fenix E01. It is just a little brighter than the ultra. I love it. I think it is a great next step. I now have two of them - different colors.

Size?
Price?
Different light levels?

For something pretty bright and AAA, look at the Fenix L0D-CE Q4. Low mode still lasts 5 hours or mode on low depending on battery.

Something similar to your CMG and AAA powered might be the Fenix E01.

Size? After some thought I think that a something sized around a single AAA or perhaps a single CR123.

Price: I would like to stay under $60.

Different light levels? That isn't very important to me. I often use my CMG for short periods at a time so I would prefer bright over long run times. I don't have a preference either way with multiple light levels.


I should have mentioned this earlier; I do have a love for machined metal over plastic.
