Peak Shasta head / stainless body, just 37mm.
Shorter than Eiger 10180?

Thanks, this one runs on Ag13, not very bright. I couldn't fit a 10180:mad:
Unless, I open up the head to shorten it. Not ready to do that yet,
unless I get another head to play with.

Thanks.

It looks like I can open the head from the bottom end & bore it out
to 10mm, so 10280 will go up inside. Then, I think there's room
up in there that I can put a XPG up in there for 10180 direct drive.

I don't think there's room for anything else, no room for IC or even resistor.

But I need a single LED Shasta head or similar Peak head with thread
same as Shasta. The three led head is getting in the way.

Where can I get a cheap head?

LOL, it doesn't sound right, does it

very nice work....I think Curt mentioned only a couple (maybe only 2) of 2x LR44 button cell Baltic bodies were made at one time I would love to have one of those.....:D.

I've never seen of of those, I'd love to see it.

Wow, I didn't know it existed. I've seen that post but
missed the tiny one. the pocket version is at 38.1mm, mine is 37mm, I beat the smallest peak that by 1mm

I think mine should fit 2x LR44, I need to find some & try it out.

It's official then..you are the likely the owner of the worlds smallest Peak. Do you cutom make the bodies and thread them yourself? I would love to shorten my N cell Shasta body as there is a good deal of empty space where the key chain post screws into the negative end. Any tips?
The body you made looks awesome...I would love to have one of those in 2 x Lr44 size if you ever decide to make any...my Baltic XLR would be perfect on it. The Shasta and Baltic heads have the same threads and a lego-able.

I couldn't find any Lr44 buttons, so I am putting that idea on hold,
too many "big light" projects, check this one out:

As for the N cell Shasta tail being too long, I know exactly what you mean.
I can't stand wasted space, I have already done "shorten the Shasta tail' mod a while ago.

Here is what I did: Remove the lug & grind down the tail end, drill holes for key ring,
drill another hole for GITD dot, then file slots for the key ring to lay flat allow tail stand.

Two things were achieved
1, Shortened by 1/2" .
2, Now it tail stand with the key ring on

Tail shot, the white dot is one hole filled with GITD material. The center black spot is Carbon Fiber.
It's only a few mm longer than the pocket carry version but retain the key chain carry function.

I finally got some time to bore out the SS tube to fit 2xAG13 batteries:
The 2x Ag13 is wrapped in Yellow carpon tape as shown next to 10180:

I also grind off 2mm from that tail, the light is now even shorter at only 1 3/8 inch, or 35mm.

It's half the size of ITP AAA Ti. It's slightly brighter than the N-cell, due to 2xAg13 gives 3 Volt.

A note on the Battery: LR44, as used in Peak 2 Button cell is the same thing as Ag13.
Same exact battery, just different names. Typical 150mAh.
10180, the one I couldn't make it fit, would be 90 mAh.
My NiMN N-cell is 400 mAh.
