Hi all, I have been away for a while so could someone up to speed help me out?

I would like a WARM light that runs on 2aa batteries and is as small and light as possible. If possible a recent cree emitter for the best possible runtimes. Any suggestions?

This will be to complement my zebralight on a 2 week hiking trip.

I liked teh look of the quark mini aa2 http://www.4sevens.com/product_info.php?cPath=297_355&products_id=2423 but there is no warm option :( my mini CR2 is my most used and loved flashlight but I got it back when warm versions were available...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Hello wingnutLT,

The Malkoff Valiant little twisty 2AA with M31W (or M31LW, M31LLW) also is a possibility.

Nachtwacht.

the only 2xAA light that i know of with a true warm option is the limited run of quarks.

there are some neutral tint 2xAA lights, such as the neutron 2A, eagletac, jetbeam, fenix, there are more just cant think of them now.

zebralight is working on a 2xAA light i think. but who knows when itll release.

i think the best option is to get a high CRI XP-G which is 3000k tint, and install it into a quark.

good luck

My apologies people there I am typing warm in capitals and what I meant was neutral!!

Sorry!

I will take a look at the options suggested but if there are any more neutral please let me know. Sadly I am not up to removing emitters and replacing them. My soldering is... rubbish :shakehead !

How about cheaper? Romisen RC-N3 II NW Cree XP-G R4 Neutral White 2-Mode
The EagleTac P100A2 uses an xp-e, and is throw. The Neutron uses an xm-l and is flood.

In that case, the Makkoff M31w in the "litle twisty" body is without a doubt the smallest 2xAA light. I have one and it is as bright as many 18650 lights with one of the best beams and tints around. It is much smaller than any 2xAA light I've ever seen. The only downside is that it does not have multi modes. It is full brightness all the time. That said, You can buy the M31Lw, or M31LLW (as stated above) and it will have less output and more run time.

FYI, the quarks have not been available in nuetral or warm tints in about 9 months. cool only (for some odd reason).

The thrunite neutrron looks good... It woud definately have to be multi mode. I have a Malkoff dropin but I had to get it inside a malkoff body to give it a low mode. I use low about 90% of the time when am out and about.
It is a real shame that the neutrals seem to have gone on teh 4sevens lights :(

Thanks all
