I thought I'd start this thread to see how people are getting on around the UK!

It's somewhat snowed in where I live in north-west Kent (in the South East of the UK). 35-50cm outside, and still snowing as it has been for days. -1.6C at the moment, with -10C possible here tonight. Roads impassable, no trains, and panic buying has stripped the shelves of *all* of the stores I can get to, within walking distance.

As I live at the bottom of a hill, it is impossible for us to get our car out. The top and bottom of the hill is piled up with cars where people attempted.

As you can imagine a good flashlight is important in this weather, especially in areas where you are forced to walk in the road as the pavements have almost a meter of snow due to snow ploughs. My Fenix TK20 has seen extra use - the rubber grip and robust design means I don't worry if I fall over and slam it into the pavement (ouch!)

(By the way, I've noticed a lack of snow gritting / snow ploughing this year - only a helpful local farmer has been ploughing....!)

How are you getting on around the UK?
