Solarforce Skyline 2 Battery Voltage Query

I just received this light today and the tail cap is marked "Max Voltage 6V". I know I can't use RCR123's but are primary CR123's OK. Does the voltage on batteries like Duracell and Energizer exceed 6v when first used or are they OK for this light. Thanks. Jim

CR123 primaries are fine.
