Re: FS: Arc AAA Mod by shiftd

I just want to let everyone knows that I stand behind my mods, so the original guarantee still applies here :)

Re: FS: Arc AAA Mod by shiftd

These run on a single AAA? Does it have to be a rechargeable or anything special?

ACMarina,

I was checking out the thread he used as a link and it appears that this mod is AAA friendly, check out posting #20 & 21.

shiftd definitely makes great lights! i treasure mine.

yes, it runs on a single AAA battery.

i have run both my old T-bin and my newer S-bin versions on alkaline, lithium or NiMH.

here's what Shiftd once told me regarding batteries for his Arc AAA mods:

"I usually run my lights with rechargeable NIMH battery so I can have some guilt free lumens. Primary batteries has never been my thing because they sometimes leak. Plus the thought of having to pay for every battery is just lame. That said, it will run great with primary lithiums and even alkalines. While I usually test my lights running from a Li-ion, the unit gets very hot too fast, so doing so all the time is not recommended."
