This is another light that I made. First let me say that the ecan/esink pill that I made for this light is NOT totally compatible with other lights that support the esink/ecan pills. This is because I modified the ecan to make the light as short as possible without having to cut corners.
The light is a custom, hand turned single 123 light. It has a TVOJ emitter that is powered by a BadBoy that was biased for 500mA, but actually turned out to clock in at 480mA. This light also has a turned down PR in it. What this means is that, for a light of this size, it will have good throw, brightness, and runtime without excess heat. I've also designed, or rather built it, to do as well as it possibly can to get the heat out.
It also has a shrouded Kroll clickie and the light will stand on end. It also has a mini m@g bezel ring with a mineral glass lens. Although I can't guarantee waterproofnes to any degree, it does have o-rings throughout.

And compared to an E1e body with a modded KL4 on it.
And for the obligatory beam shot. This was taken about 20 feet from a white wall.
And this one has the modded KL4 on the left and the homemade light on the right.
The picture shows, or at least I hope it does, that the homemade light has a tighter beam, although brightness is about the same. Both are running in the 500mA range. The KL4 has a Q3J in it.
The homemade light does have better throw and the same amount of sidespill as the KL4.
