I was able to change one to NW, and the other one is CW.

Question from an ignorant trit noob: is there some kind of clear epoxy or other "potting" to protect the tritium vial, or does the inclusion of tritium just mean the light must be handled with extra care (for the sake of not breaking the vial)?

They are set with Norland 61, a clear optical adhesive.

Yes, you may order one without trits.
The trit slot is 3mm in diameter, see if the necklace would go thru the hole. Then you can have the light plumb.
