They are the smooth reflectors. They are from a dealer on the other side of the world, I would rather buy (and will continue to buy) from Fenix-store due to the excellent service. See the threads in the Cheers forum of CPF marketplace for more info of Fenix-store experiences.
Err......Care to explain why????
I'm in no way related to DX and I'm not promoting for them. I'm just sharing some great offers with fellow CPFers. :)
They close threads pointing to specific products which anyone can find on their own. You have to do more then just point to a product. Raise a discussion, make a point, etc - otherwise you are acting as a dealer advocate, even if you are not a shill. (which, I in no way, accused you of being). Nothing against you, just going by precedent.

I'm hoping we can talk about DX products again since DX is now a registered/authorized CPF dealer (paid dues I assume). It was sad not to be allowed to discuss their products. I understood the closing of threads that simply announced products, but threads that were meant to discuss and ask questions about the products were different. That's some great prices on Fenixs!

I can't resist anymore. I was holding on the P2D CE because I evaluate it as too high. Kye's price is reasonable and he got my business. As to the VB-16, I am not sure how it fair. So who is going to jump first?

Oh I see. :sigh:
Man...nowadays we can't even point to our fellow CPFers some great offers on the net.

Thank for the advice, pal! Will take note of that.:)

I appreciate this thread. I've got my finger on the button to buy a VB-16.

Without competition, prices would soar, innovation would die and good service would be nonexistent.

I wonder if DX will be selling tubes anytime soon?

I think this was the original intent, but the moderators have actually closed ALL threads about DX products, regardless of whether they are for discussion, requesting information/review on, etc. The only ones remaining open are actual reviews and what not, but all discussion, not just product announcement threads were closed.
DX has since become a CPF dealer, so the policy may have changed.

Dude, it's not really fair to make that statement.

Afterall, DX have always given us good deals and great products.
Kyle's customer service is very good too.
He gives refunds and/or replaces damaged/faulty goods without question.
If the product u ordered is out of stock, he let's u cancel your order if u dont feel like waiting.

Also, not everyone on CPF are from the US. What's up with that "other side of the world" thing?
Anyway, Kyle is probably closer to the Fenix manufacturer geographically. Maybe that's why it's cheaper, save some shipment cost.

The 2 products which caught me eye:
Fenix E0. $11.90 vs $19.90
Fenix P1D CE: $42.90 vs $67.95

I've been holding back on the P1D CE, gona break for this! :D

Peace out.

I believe that Fenix is dumping all of their CREE P4 lights before swiching over to Q2 - Q5 as a standard LED in everything that they sell.

I am fairly certain that when the move is made to the killer Q2 (or better) LED's, they will also make an OP reflector standard.

This is all just speculation on my part, but I would almost bet that we will see updated lights at the Fenix Store within two months.

Those are great prices for sure. And, this will be much more convenient to the folks on the other side of the planet. DX has good service and treats people fairly. But, for us folks over here on this side of the world...Mainly me....I will still be giving David(4sevens/fenixstore.com) my business. He has treated me really well, and most times I have my order in 2 days.

This was the first thing that came to mind - but I was waiting on further confirmation about the textured reflector thing. I have a feeling these are soon to be discontinued models, because of the smooth reflector or P4 bin LED, etc. Or they are possibly refurbished models. Not sure which, but it's not like every other seller in the world is marking the Fenix lights up by $30 or more for the fun of it. Fenix has a basic price cost that will apply to all - it will fluctuate based on quantity purchased of course, but by dollars...not $20-$25 each.

Well, by that logic - they should cost the same. Fenix shipping them by the hundreds to the US costs $20-$25 per light - but Kyle can ship them so cheap that it doesn't effect the price by much at all??

I'm not faulting anything here honestly - but I will keep ordering my OP reflector Fenix lights and support someone who has given great customer service so far.

Also, don't think I am anti-DX - I just ordered a cheap light from DX yesterday...I'm just not sure about some things and I like to question.

That's also a bit unfair, accusing DX of selling refurb goods without marking it as such.

Perhaps DX is just operating under the "we'll make it up in volume" model as their operating model allows for thin margins.
