Tonight, I found out that I had gotten an extremely good deal on a light. Story time:
So I saw a small light on ebay that I wanted to get. Just a small 14500 flood type pocket light. The title of the sale was Lumintop EDC AA. It was, "LUMINTOP EDC AA Flashlight, 760 Lumens, 5 Modes, Strong Magnetic Tailcap"
This is what I saw in the pictures, so I purchased it. When it finally reached my mail box and I opened it, what I found inside wasn't what the seller had on ebay, but was a different silver colored light, but with a tail clicky switch. I contacted the seller and he stated that the vendor sent the wrong data sheet and images for the light. I decided to keep it because I still liked the looks of this light.
Now this is where it starts getting good. The ebay ad was $19.99, which is a great price for what they had pictured. But since I didn't get that one, I went searching to find out where to get the light pictured. Turns out, the images were for the Lumintop Silver Fox. I end up finding one and purchased it. That was all over a month or 2 ago.
So tonight, I'm going through my purchases, and saw that the seller now has the correct image for the page, so I was going to go in and update my review, but see no way to update it, so contacted the seller to see if there were a way to update my review. He said no. But the last thing he said is that I actually got an amazing deal because what the seller had sold that day was the Lumintop EDC AA Titanium version, that he has up now on the updated listing for $119.00!! They were ~ $70 new, but are not produced anymore.
So a part of me kind of felt bad that I basically got $100 off the light, but then it was a good faith part on my end because I wasn't going to hassle anyone for a return, since I liked it anyway. But still, I was rather shocked. Honestly, I don't see how it could be worth that much. It's a very nice light and has nice output for the size, but I guess it is because of the titanium. Apparently they aren't supper common.
