Source for Dell laptop batteries

I've got an older Dell laptop that still is in fairly good condition, although the battery is about as useful as a brick now, thanks to its age. Where is a good source to obtain new Dell batteries? Third party is ok, as long as they are decent quality and most importantly, safe (given all we hear about batteries on this forum too!)

I was thinking Ebay.....any recommendations?

I like freshbattery.com, they don't have a great selection, but quality and service is good. They have had most of the ones I've needed.

the best pbly will be dell.com, e bay is fine too, it doesn't matter where you buy, only matters what you by, read discription carefully and you'll be fine.

i have not bought a laptop battery in 7 years, i recell mine. it is about half as cheap, very simple prosedure, open the batt box, remove old cells, get new cells, solder new ones in, close the box,(they are usually snap clips, not glued) i,ve done it 4 times, it works great everytime.

same thing i do with power tools batts. i used to zap old nicd batts, but i replaced them with nimh so zapping doesn't work, but i get 2x capacity.
