We're talking about a China made copy of the SureFire X300, designed to be mounted
on handguns with 20mm rails or even SMGs or rifles.
The main body is made out of anodized aluminum (advertised as HAIII, seems more like
HAII to me) and the battery cap of plastic, overall construction feels good but I'm
not so sure about recoil, so if you plan on using it on an airsoft gun it should be
perfect, but maybe for a real gun I'd go for an original SF X300.
The reflector used is an orange peel and the led a Cree Q5 advertised @ 275 lumens:
obviously you don't get that value, but I think we're pretty much in the 150 lumens range
(which is good, considering that the origninal SF puts out 110 lumens), only problem is a slighly
visible doughnut hole, but in general you get a nice soft spot not cold nor warm.
To mount the light you simply have to remove a pin slide it on the rail and reinsert the pin
to block it in the desired position, all done in 10 seconds or less.
The switch can be activated from both sides pressing for temporary and sliding (up or down)
for constand on.
For now I've tried it only on an airsoft G36c, mounting it on the back part of the left rail,
giving it rapid access to the left thumb for rapid pressing.
I'm still waiting for the adapter to mount it on my USP compact, I'll be getting it by the end of this
month (I hope), then I'll konw how does it feel on a pistol.
I'm quite satisfied with this product considering my average use, but maybe I would have chosen
(and maybe I will) an original SF X300 for a real gun, just to be perfecly safe.
Fenix P1D for size comparison
Spiderfire on left (275 lumens) and P1dCEq5 on right (180 lumens)
Fenix T1 on right (225 lumens)
Locking mechanism: pull out the pin holding those two buttons, slide on rail and reinsert the pin
