I picked up a used Spyderco blue almite Navigator to try a smaller Spydie out and it is an excellent little blade (too bad they don't still make them). About the same size apparently as a dragonfly with a nice almite coated aluminum scales, very thin profile, super VG10 plain edge, lightweight and ergonomic. The Navigator is a great small daily carry size that won't scare the office workers. Locks up tight, typically solid lockback, no play at all... Just a really solid piece of kit.

The only complaint I have is that the very solid clip is a bit tight ... OK it's crazy tight but I suppose it's secure if nothing else. I rarely use a clip for work EDC (doesn't really look right in my office) so this is a less huge issue for me but might be for some.

Overall of the three Spydies I've owned all of them were excellent knives and great values. I had a carbon fiber Delica that was a great knife but a bit big for EDC (I wish I hadn't sold although it...) - and my Native is a completely satisfying and useful knife.

It looks like it might be time to sell off a few that aren't getting used these days - although I'll report back after using it for a month or so if it stays in my pocket consistently. Right now an Alox SAK Cadet is my normal EDC due to the size and sheeple friendly profile. The Navigator is fairly nonassuming although the slotted aluminum handle does look pretty darn cool and it saves weight!

The Navigator is a nice knife, it was my fourth or fifth spydie purchase (old gin1/g10 model)
havent picked it up in quite a while, might have to grab it out and use it again

I guess I have to ask the question. Are knives frowned upon where you work, so all knives there must be unassuming, non threatening? I can see how this could be possible, particularly if one works in say a mental heath facility where a knife could be used against you, but usually policies preclude employees from bringing knives to work in such places of employment. I understand carrying a fairly small knife to work, where knives are not prohibited, for a lot of reasons, bulk being one, and for me a knife with an blade length of about 3" would be a good size. Not sure if I would only carry a "non threatening" knife, what ever that is.
