SRTH and Surefire Alpha - by the same guy?

I just found out from reading the CPF archives that SRTH stands for Steve Ryan Turbohead, and that name is familiar because it also comes up when the Surefire Alpha knife is mentioned. Is the same guy behind both of these creations?

Not sure where to place this thread, because it concerns both a knife and a light /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

SRTH = Short Rim TurboHead.
It's a revised version of the original 12PM/ZM bezel that had a longer rim with internal threads designed to take a screw in infrared filter.

The Steve Ryan thing was just a rumour started by a mischeivous CPF'er.

I'm looking at investing in a Turbohead too, that's why I'm doing a little reading.
