With amazing heatsinking you might be able to get away with it. However it'll likely turn angry blue and won't last very long before it starts to dim.

The max rated is 1A.

I'm planning on useing a DHS heatsink. Has anyone tried running a P4 Ubin at 1400mAh?

There shouldn't be any problem. SSC was turning blue long time ago. Not it's fine at 1300mA so I think 100mA more won't make big difference.

I'd stay at 1 amp max. You can test it and see how it work before putting everything together. If the LED starts to turn blue within a few minutes, then it's not a good idea.

Initially the phosphor had problems turning blue. That has been fixed to some degree.
