I have been noticing lately that the Stanley HID has been in abundance in all of the Wal-Marts I've been in lately. I travel throughout the midwest for work and often kill some time browsing the clearance section in Wal-Mart. Does anyone think that these might be too abundant for the flashaholic market and at somepoint be sold cheap? Mine has held up well to trivial use.

Well they already are relatively cheap already. However, I could see a possibility of them going for a very low price (like the POB) if they don't sell well. I don't know many people that would pay $70 for a spotlight, even though it is a very good deal for what it is. Most people don't need it, don't want it, or don't know about it.

Possibly at some point a year down the road or something. I guess my question would be, how much is a person going save.....$15 or $20 bucks? Like Mjolnir stated, it's already cheap and seems like a lot of light at $70. More people these days know what HID is or at least know it's different because so many cars now have them. Stanley probably knows how to do market research and priced the light appropriately.

I had to pick up another one of these today and noticed that there were plenty available. Maybe the initial rush on these from the flashaholics confused them on the real demand by squewing their sales stats. I think if these were to go on sale due to a realization on their part that they overstocked, then I would guess a pretty good sale of 30-40% off.

These are pretty handy for garage lights, although they need to get more well known.

These are a lot of light for the money, it would be nice to see them introduce these in a new housing style. That might get me to buy a second one for myself.

Yes I agree. I would prefer them even more with a top handle and no pistol grip but for the price how can you beat it. :)
