This is my first post here so I hope I'm posting in the right area.So I have a question about my Stanley fat max spotlight.i got It at Lowes to use for getting to my duck hunting locations early in the morning. Just shining it on an off when I first got it I liked it.But I noticed that if I try to run it for over about 5 seconds it turns off.i have only had it about a week and it was doing it right out the box this isn't normal is it?what could. Be wrong with it.i have charged it thinking maybe that it needed one but that didn't help.could I have got a bad battery? Thanks for the help.

I would say the battery must be bad for it to only run for 5secs.

I think the light has to power input ports on it one for the charger and the other for directly powering it off a car 12v supply, i am not sure if it comes with the Car 12v lead but you could try to hook it up and if it runs fine with external power i am sure it will just be a bad battery.

Either way i would take it back and swap it out for one that works.

Hope that helps.

Pretty much all the Fax Max lights will give you roughly an hour of runtime, yours definitely has a bad battery; return & exchange time..
