Streamlight ProPoly no new emitters

SL should just sell new bulb modules as replacement with more current emitters. that's always been the case in the incand days. :ironic:

it'll be a pity to waste a still useable host. :shakehead

The Propoly is still an awesome torch when modded with a Seoul. I have yet to find a better deer tracking light. All 5 of my Propolys have been modded with Seouls and get very heavy usage during the 3 month Michigan deer season. A drop in Cree R-2 module for this torch would be sweet! A Cree R2 emitter with the stock smooth reflector just doesn't work, I've tried.​

!!! a fellow michigan whitetail hunter?!?! I dream about whitetail nearly every night. Where is your hunting land? We go up near Cadillac but I am originally from Grand Rapids. Thats so awesome!! I hafta miss deer season this year due to deployment :sigh: but oh well. What makes this light so good for deer tracking? (I've never had to track mine..they go down right away:naughty:) But I do track a lot of buddies/brother/cousins/uncles'.

Our huntclub is in Irons which is about 20 miles west of Cadillac. I spend about 50 days per deer season Bow hunting the Manistee National Forest. Wish I could say that I've never had to track one!!!! Here's what I think makes the Seoul modded Propoly the perfect tracking light:

Really bright with great tint
Plastic body for those cold December tracking jobs
AA batteries (I run LSD rechargeables)
Bright yellow body
Good mix of spill & hotspot with the Seoul mod
4 plus hours of fully regulated runtime

I pretty much live to hunt and hate to hear that you have to miss a season. Thanks for the sacrifice!:thumbsup:
