No conversion. You can buy a TL-2 LED head, but in that case, it's easier just to buy the TL-2 LED light complete. I converted a TL-2/Scorpion head to LED, but requires cutting the plastic top holder (that holds the LED in place) and soldering. It turned into a really nice thrower with a smooth beam. My dad loves the light to check what critters are in his backyard.
