Streamlight ultrastinger bulb in other lights

I see that FM sells these bulbs in his modified and Super Bulb sales thread. It also shows on the stickied lamp post at 7.2(2x li-ion). So I presume that people have used this bulb in different hot wire applications. But I'm curious how. It seems to have pin spacing very similar to the maglite by pin bulbs. But due to the plastic assembly that is attached to it for the ultrastinger, it will not fit in a maglite. I have even clipped/ground off the lamp assembly and the pin still are not long enough to make electrical contact

If this is for use in M*g "C" & "D" it will be easier to use similar bulb with same or similar specification such as M*gCharger (6V, 1.8A) or go with any G4 6V, bulb with ~100 hours of life and power up with pair of Li-ions.

I know. But I have about ten of them and the ultrastinger doesn't seem to burn them out so I thought I'd try one in something else and see what it's like on 7.2V
