Strion Kit

This goes back a ways. Somebody years ago made kits to run a strion lamp in a mini-maglite. It consisted of a metal reflector, glass lens, and a ceramic slug that the lamp mounted in. You ran a couple 14500 batteries. I found mine and was getting it ready to go. What I'm not sure of in a regular streamlite strion runs a single 3.7 volt battery, and this setup is 7 volts to the lamp. I'm sure there's some current variable I'm missing, but can a strion lamp be driven to 7 volts? Just don't want to blow up a $9.00 lamp because I forgot something from 10 plus years ago. Anybody?

No. It's the tl3 bulb you were supposed to use. That strion bulb will blow if you turn it on

No problem .I mean you could run a strion bulb with a single 14500 and a spacer. With the 2 cells, a 6 cell mag bulb will be nice too

As vicv said above currently Streamlight TL-3 bulb is available and pretty bright.
If you interested, I still have some turbo head.
