Suggestions For Charging \"N\" Cells In The Maha 401

I just HAD to get one of lambda's tiny Nano-Mates and went out and found THE LAST pack of Radio Shack rechargeable NiCD "N" cells in my area. I tried to find the NiMH N cells but they are now discontinued also and NO ONE has them in my rural area.

I have one of the Maha 401's which is of course for AA/AAA NiMH and NiCD cells. What would you guys recommend to use to take up the slack for the length gap in the tiny N cells in the 401?

Re: Suggestions For Charging

Thanks much gents. Those are both great suggestions. I just remembered I have some thin aluminum sheeting. I'll cut a piece and roll it into a tube to take up the slack.
